Fate brings together three seemingly normal people, Duck Newton, Aubrey Little, and Edmund "Ned" Chicane, to fight off the evil that's plaguing the town of Kepler, West Virginia, a cryptozoological tourist trap and very small skiing town. During their adventures, they meet Bigfoot, nearly burn down a hotel, and discover another world. They stumble upon the world of Sylvane and the beings that inhabit it. Some turn out to become allies, while others are infected by an evil force making them dangerous beasts for Duck, Aubrey, and Ned to combat.
